Even Hot Air Balloons Drop into the Library

Watch for this Balloon - Ambrosia

Hopefully it will fly over Emmetsburg this weekend. The pilot is my brother-in-law Max Harris, with my sister as the crew chief. Hot Air Balloons need very calm winds and so far the weather report has not said this is going to happen.
I have some pictures available at the front desk of the library if you would like a copy so if they do fly you can be sure and know which one is Ambrosia.

Kindergarten vist

The Emmetsburg Kindergarten class visited the library today. They learned about the rules of the library and heard about our summer reading program.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM

GET A CLUE @ YOUR LIBRARY

Sign up for the summer reading program begins Friday, June 1st at 10:00 and continues throughout the program. The programs begin June 11 and run till July 20th.

Programs for Preschool: Monday 10:30 to 11:00
Programs for K thru 2nd: Tuesdays 10:30 to 11:30
Programs for 3rd and 4th: Thursdays 10:30 to 11:30

RICE

The Library is in need of uncooked rice. We want to fill a treasurer chest to use in our summer reading program. We believe it will be cleaner than sand.

disc machine

The five libraries in Palo Alto County have purchased a disc repair machine to maintain their disc media collections and to offer disc repair as a public service. The machine will repair audio CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, and Sony Playstation Games. It will remove very extensive scratching. Bring your damaged discs to the library to be repaired for a fee of $1.00. This machine works GREAT, even on our discs that get so much use.
